WHAT TO EXPECT

The wedding service and reception will lead directly into the dinner. As such, we hope our guests will arrive dressed for dinner.

We have decided to host a formal dinner, which is quite unusual in Singapore. We feel that the venue, events and importance of this occasion warrant the extra effort.

The Ritz-Carlton has a dress code of long trousers, and collared shirts with covered shoes for men attending the restaurants and we would like to take this a step further for this evening.

For Ladies, think Glamour - just let your imagination loose.

One warning ladies: The Ritz-Carlton Grand Ballroom can become "chilly"after a couple of hours under the air-conditioning. Wraps and shawls are a good idea.

For Gentlemen, we are requesting Black Tie. White "Tropical" Dinner Jackets and Traditional Mandarin Collared suits are entirely acceptable.

If you would like to rent a tuxedo including shirt, tie and cumberbund for the evening, we recommend you go to Fashion Tailors Menswear and speak to Jimmy Chow.

Fashion Tailors are extremely competent and have good quality suits at reasonable prices. They are already helping to dress many of the wedding party for the evening, so be sure to mention Fen if you call.

They are located at:
150 Orchard Road
#02-01 Orchard Plaza
Singapore 238841
Tel: 734 7206 or 737 4043
E-mail: fashion.tailor@pacific.net.sg

Last thing - we realize that dancing and formal dress do not always go together. So we would encourage the most enthusiastic to bring their dancing shoes and even a change of outfit.
